ich meine gelesen zu haben, dass D3T oder Hangar13 bei Shenmue HD (das auch mies lief zum release (wie man mir hier sagte) mit dem patch 1.02 ordentlich poliert haben. daran halte ich mich auch so ein wenig fest.

Mafia 3 Definitive Edition läuft in zu niedriger Auflösung

27.05.20 - Die Mafia 3 Definitive Edition (PS4, Xbox One) läuft irrtümlicherweise in einer zu niedrigen Auflösung, wie 2K Games eingesteht.

Das normale Mafia 3 lief auf PS4 Pro in 1440p und auf Xbox One X in 1728p. Die offizielle Produktseite im Microsoft Store verspricht "vollständige 4K-Auflösung" für die Definitive Edition - doch sie beträgt auf Xbox One X jetzt nur 900p.

Auf Nachfrage von Digital Foundry teilt 2K mit, dass das Entwickler-Team daran arbeitet, die höhere Auflösung auf PS4 Pro und Xbox One X in der Neuauflage wiederherzustellen.

What happened when Mafia III was updated to Definitive Edition: the game received a big patch that was supposed to make some gameplay improvements. In PS4 and XBOX One S this patch had around 10GB. Its not listed in patch notes, but they definitely made some changes in graphics, In Xbox One S and PS4 the game looks sharper, and things like dust when driving on a dirt road are improved. So, the game didn't just receive new DLCs and a new logo.

The problem is: for both PS4 and XBOX there is a single patch for entry and pro consoles, and this patch removed the improvements that were released years ago specifically for XBOX ONE X and PS4 Pro. So, the version of Mafia III right now for XBOX One S and PS4 are the same ones for their pro brothers, so the 4K is gone as well as the graphical improvements in texture, reflections and other stuff. Both PS4 pro and XBOX One X received in November 2017 a patch that introduced HDR and Full 4K resolution:

The difference between the enhanced version and the regular one is huge, specially in XBOX One X. For example, cars textures in PS4 and Xbox One S version are really weird because at some moments the car reflection is blurry and low resolution. So, right now all those changes are gone, because for some stupid reason people released a single patch for entry level and pro consoles.

So, all you PS4 Pro and XBOX One X asking about "what happened to Mafia III?", this is what happened: you are now playing the same version of the game PS4 and XBX S players have. Yes, in those consoles the cars have poor and weird reflections and textures.

I'm afraid people who were behind Mafia III DE didn't even knew there was a specific version for XBOX One X and PS4 Pro.

Its a problem thats easy to fix: they just have to go back to previous patch. Its no difficult to release the previous patch with the updated logo and opening screen and with those adds that try to convince us to buy the Trilogy bundle.

So, my advise is: when you get in contact with 2K support, try to be very specific and mention the last patch removed the enhancements for pro consoles, and when we buy the game, both PSN Store and Microsoft Store told us the game is optimized for the pro consoles, and right now as we speak IT BECAME A BIG LIE. Mafia III DE currently has only on version in both consoles. THEY MUST PATCH IT AND FIX THIS UNBELIEVABLE ISSUE. Its not acceptable that they released a DE that completely removed the enhancements for pro consoles. People who previously owned this game in pro consoles are now stuck with an inferior product: its that what a Definitive Edition is supposed to be?

The thing is: can we expect better from a company that released WWE 2k20 in the state it was released?

Mafia 2 stürzte gerade bei mir ab als ich die PS aus dem Rest mode holte. Ärgerlich. Dachte ich.

Es wird ein Update auf 1.02 gezogen. 6.111 GB. Wenn das was bringt soll mir der Absturz recht sein.

Edit: tonprobleme scheinen gefixt. Performance ist auch besser. Aber irgendwie kommt es mir vor als haben die einfach die Auflösung gesenkt.

Edit: scheint wohl eher das AA zu sein. Hm.
Aber die bessere frame rate macht auf jeden Fall schon mal einen großen Unterschied.

Mafia 3 hat auch ein Update bekommen, knapp 6GB auf der One. Habe es noch nicht getestet aber ich hoffe, die Auflösung und Details sind wieder da.

bei mafia II sind die tonprobleme jetzt gott sei dank weg und der surround sound ist okay. die framerate ist auch um einiges besser. bei mafia 3 macht sich aber bei mir null unterschied bemerkbar.

Dafür gibts gelegentlich ganz fiese Grafikfehler (lila Felder ohne Textur) . Beim fahren bricht die Frame Rate auch gerne mal ein. Ist leider nicht konstant das Ganze.

Zumindest besser spielbar!

War froh es mittlerweile komplett abgeschlossen zu haben.
Die DLCs gingen Pre-Patch auf keine Kuhhaut.

Hoffentlich sind diese für euch jetzt besser spielbar.

Auch wenn diese ohnehin ganz große Grütze sind.

fuck die entwickler! ich hatte mal wieder mafia III angefangen, wegen der tonprobleme bei teil 2. hatte mir den dritten teil damals als collectors edition mit season pass gekauft. nun war es so, dass bei uns das internet down war und meine ps4 pro nicht als primär-konsole eingestellt ist. okay, kann man keine digitalen spiele wegen der fehlenden verifizierung spielen, aber disc spiele gehen ja noch! mafia III ließ sich auch starten, aber dann war schluss beim laden des savegames. das spiel sagte mir, es könne keine optionalen inhalte finden (WTF?) und schmiss mich immer wieder ins hauptmenü zurück. sowas beklopptes - uns nix weiter als gängelei!
