Hi everyone!
Today’s 1.10 Patch brings two major updates to the game: our new map, Mojito Bay, and the first season of Ranked Play!
You can read about both of these and more in our Official Blog post
here.
We know you've been asking for new maps, and we want to thank you for your patience – everyone on the team has pulled out all the stops on Mojito Bay and we can’t wait to see what you guys think of it. We're also trying something a little different with the level special this time. When the special becomes available you will need to fight over a zone to collect it: the first player that manages to survive in the zone for long enough will find out what it's like to become truly
Overpowered! We’ll be examining everything very closely this weekend, so please keep giving us your feedback as it all factors into our thinking for what we do.
Ranked Play Season One starts today and we're keeping it nice and straightforward to start with. Destroy enemy players to earn promotion and rise up the ranks but be careful, getting destroyed too often will see you face demotion. Don't worry though, it's impossible to lose rank until you reach Sergeant or above. There are nine ranks (which HOA veterans may recognise
) and two exclusive rewards for achieving specific Ranks in the season. When you reach Rank 4 (Sergeant) you’ll unlock the “Dark Matter” vehicle skin, and at Rank 7 (Major), you’ll get the awesome “Fistfulls of Trouble” vehicle add-on.
Both of these rewards are only available in Season One of Ranked Play, and each season will have different exclusive items so make sure you grab them now!
On top of this, we’ve been working to further improve matchmaking for groups and parties, so that parties of two can play together more easily.
Here’s the full details of what’s in 1.10:
- New Mojito Bay map
- Ranked Play Season One
- Two new exclusive Ranked Play rewards
- Further improvements to party matchmaking / group join
- General Bug fixes and improvements
Happy shooting!
