The new Firefox for Android supports a wide range of devices from Android 4.1 and above.

Firefox for Android now offers Enhanced Tracking Protection, providing a better web experience. The revamped browsing app comes with our highest privacy protections ever – on by default. ETP keeps numerous ad trackers at bay and out of the users’ business, set to “Standard” mode right out of the box to put their needs first. Stricter protections are available to users who want to customize their privacy settings.

New users can download the update from the Google PlayStore as of today.

https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/4498

Die Telemetrie sagte wahrscheinlich zu wenig Nutzer. ~troll~

PlayStore Bewertungen vom neuen Firefox :ugly::

Google proposed Web Bundles could threaten the Web as we know it

Fennec is the long running mobile browser project for non-Apple platforms from Mozilla. First released for Maemo, a now defunct smartphone platform from Nokia, Fennec was later ported to Android in 2011, preceding Chrome on Android by about a year.

Uniquely among mobile browsers, it supported add-ons almost from the start, and was introduced with support for sync and tabbed browsing.

we made some tough decisions about our minimum criteria for launch. We looked at add-on usage on Android, and made the decision to start by building support for add-ons in the Recommended Extensions program that were commonly installed by our mobile users.

We are also working on enabling support for persistent loading of all extensions listed on addons.mozilla.org (AMO) on Firefox for Android Nightly.

Why Did Mozilla Remove XUL Add-ons?
https://yoric.github.io/post/why-did-mozilla-remove-xul-addons/

https://www.golem.de/news/firefox-mozilla-testet-bezahlte-addon-reviews-2009-150780.html

Also bessere Promotion von AddOns gegen Geld.

Edit:
Ich empfehle folgende Einstellungen

extensions.htmlaboutaddons.discover.enabled
extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled

The Resize Observer API is still a work in progress:
https://drafts.csswg.org/resize-observer/

It was only enabled in Safari in March and won't ever be supported by legacy Edge (which will be supported until March 2021), but the Imgur devs implemented it anyways without a polyfill or fall-back.

I guarantee they saw that Chrome created the API in early 2018 and decided that meant it was ready for production.
