Solar Crown ist ein ungewöhnlicher Name Hoffentlich orientiert es sich am ersten Test Drive Unlimited. Den Nachfolger hab ich nicht so gut in Erinnerung.

Mir haben die ganzen Liefermissionen und das Inselfeeling gut gefallen. Hoffe das wollen sie auch hier so machen.

Wem gehören die Rechte an der Reihe (noch Atari?)?

Vor 14 Jahren und als eines der ersten 360 Rennspiele überhaupt, war TDU schon ein Brett.
Im Gedächtnis blieben mir zumindest keine allzu großen Kritikpunkte, sondern nur die immense Größe und tolle Grafik (für damals..).
Den Nachfolger habe ich auch, aber nie so lange gespielt..war afair auch irgendwie mit unsympathischen reichen Kids.

10 Jahre später wird es Teil 3 schwer haben, dank Forza Horizon und the Crew.
Sofern der Titel gut aussieht und Spaß bereitet, gerne, aber den USP sehe ich sonst nicht und ich kam auch gut ohne klar.

Nacon hat mir nichts gesagt. Das ist der neue Name von Bigben seit Februar.
2016 haben die die Rechte an Test Drive von "Atari" gekauft.

European publisher Bigben Interactive has purchased the rights to "use and develop" the Test Drive brand from Atari, which retains the rights to sell all previously released Test Drive games.

Bigben says it plans to start working on a new entry in the Test Drive Unlimited series, the last of which sold 1.8 million units.

Test Drive will sit alongside the company's other key racing franchises, World Rally Championship (WRC) and TT Isle of Man.

Wer hat denn diesen Thread umbenannt?

Das Spiel heißt nämlich wirklich Test Drive (Unlimited) Solar Crown, und nicht TDU3 . Fixed.


Kein Gameplay, kein Termin.
Im Video wird sogar von einigen Monaten gesprochen, die sie daran arbeiten, kann also noch lange dauern.

Und dazu eine Techno/Dance Party und alles wirkt so abstoßend "hip".
Könnte ich mit leben, wie bei der Forza Horizon Serie, wenn das eigentlich Spiel super ist.
Aber Kylotonn als Entwickler und nur ein CGI Trailer ein Jahr vor Release verheißt nicht gerade Konkurrenz für Playground Games.

First and foremost is the game’s location, which will see the Test Drive series head to the Far East for the first time. Solar Crown will take place in Hong Kong, and specifically Hong Kong Island rather than the wider territory.

That’s a smaller map than we’ve seen in previous TDU titles, with Hong Kong Island coming in at just over 30 square miles — compared to Ibiza (220sqmi) and Oahu (600sqmi) which hosted TDU2 and the original game — but with the 1:1 recreation of the island, the map will be roughly the size of Forza Horizon 4‘s.

That will all play into the storyline of TDUSC. Players will be based at the Solar Hotel, a huge, fictional building set in Hong Kong’s Victoria Park. From there they will engage in races and other driving missions like transport and escort, as they look to rise up the ranks — and up the floors of the Solar Hotel — of their chosen clan.

You’ll be able to pick from two clans, with the elegant and sophisticated “Sharps” and the loud and proud “Streets” competing for reputation. The two groups are marked out by their choices of clothing and vehicles, although it’s unclear right now if your clan choice limits your garage options.
