http://html5test.com/compare/browser/playstation4.html

Der Browser beherrscht HTML5-Video:

video element »Yes ✔
DRM support »No ✘
Media Source extensions »No ✘
Subtitle support »Yes ✔
Poster image support »Yes ✔
Codec detection »Yes ✔
MPEG-4 support »Yes ✔
H.264 support »Yes ✔
Ogg Theora support »No ✘
WebM with VP8 support »No ✘
WebM with VP9 support »No ✘

ok, Herr Goggle sagt mir aber was anderes:
Use Keyboard and Mouse with PS4

To use a USB keyboard or mouse:

Plug the device into an open USB port on the front of the PS4.
The PS4 will recognize the new device and ask who is using it. Choose the profile that you'd like to pair to the device.
You can now use the keyboard to navigate the PS4's system menus, input text, browse the web, and more.
To use a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse:

From the Dynamic Menu's Home Screen, press UP on the d-pad.
Choose [Settings] > [Devices] > [Bluetooth Devices]. The system will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices.
Follow the normal pairing process of the Bluetooth device you wish to pair and enter the passkey (if necessary). If you are unsure of this process, please consult the device's instruction manual.
The PS4 will recognize the new device and ask who is using it. Choose the profile that you'd like to pair to the device.
You can now use the keyboard to navigate the PS4's system menus, input text, browse the web, and more.

Das ganze(?) User Interface der PS4 läuft "im Browser":

Now that the #PS4 has been released I can finally start talking about my piece of the puzzle.

When you login to your PS4 you are running #WebGL code. The PlayStation Store, the Music and Video Applications, as well as a good chunk of UX are all rendered within the browser.

I spent a good amount of time tuning our WebGL rendering engine, and I will be speaking at +SFHTML5 about how to optimize WebGL usage within the context of that work. There will be plenty of great tips on how you can speed up your own WebGL applications so get your slot now. And for those of you can't make it in person it will be live streamed on Google Developers Live.

Olmstead sagte:
the PS4 has unified memory so its a security concern for it to be enabled in the browser proper.
I'm not saying there's anything insecure with WebGL. Just need to make sure everyone's concerns are mitigated

Thanks for the great response everyone! Sony embracing web technologies such as #webgl was what brought me to work here, and I'm really excited to talk about the details of our application. I think our team here has done an amazing job with the user experience.

I wanted to address some comments and clarify what is actually running WebGL with some development screen grabs. Each is highlighted accordingly. PS4 store is done completely in WebGL so I didn't attach anything related to that.

WebKit or Blink? We're a WebKit shop currently as people figured out from the PS4 license. The Blink/WebKit split happened after we were deep in development. My personal preference is Blink but that's not my decision to make.

UI framework is in house tech. I handled the layer below that it uses for its rendering which is all WebGL. Will be talking more about everything at that level during my talk at +SFHTML5.

Hmm interessant.

Falscher Thread ;)

WTF.
fps: waren schon immer bescheiden
