Nikkei has posted a proper english translation of their interview with Kaz Hirai about Playstation Suite. Some clearer bits in here, notably about the possibility of Suite coming to Google TV, the future of minis etc.

As for game software, for example, it is possible to eliminate games with too much violence and games that are offensive to public order and morals. We will examine games provided through the PSS as strictly as existing PlayStation games.
Ein echter Vorteil von PSS .

Vieles ist noch nicht entschieden.

Sony to launch Xperia Play in UK on March 31

Sony Ericsson has said it will launch its Xperia Play in the UK at the end of the month.

Speaking with MCV, the firm confirmed it will come with six games: Crash Bandicoot, FIFA 10, Bruce Lee Dragon Warriors, Star Battalion, Tetris, and The Sims 3 with 50 more games available through PlayStation Suite.

Sony said that all mobile carriers and retailers will have the phone, and may be sold through gaming retailers as well.

“We are currently still in commercial conversation, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t see Xperia Play appear in other channels,” Sony Ericsson’s marketing director David Hilton said. “All the mobile operators and retailers are selling it. It is rare these days to get a product that is sold everywhere, but this is one of those. This will be the biggest marketing campaign we have had in the UK.”

As for any future gaming devices being considered after the release of the Xperia, Hilton said: “We will see how this one goes. But there is the potential for this to grow.”

Sony Ericsson Launches Bootloader Unlocking Site
Wait, is this for real? The company that striketh console jailbreakers with smite and other things that sound Biblical now actually launches a site specifically for unlocking its Android phones? Yes, Sony Ericsson just launched a website where owners of the company's latest Android phones can go to to unlock their devices. It's unreal - but a very welcome move, and hopefully a sign of things to come for other companies.
It currently only works for or will work for phones from 2011, such as the Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia pro and Xperia PLAY, and then only of they are unbranded.
