Linux auf PS2

Hi,

hat jemand Linux am laufen auf einer neuen Konsole (smal). Ich möchte ein bißchen spielen, Internet surfen und vielleicht einige eMails schreiben. Kann ich eine Festplatte anschließen an der neuen PS2?

Nein auf der Slim PS2 kriegst du Linux nicht zum laufen. Ganz einfach, weil der Festplatteneinschub fehlt. Eine USB Festplatte wird hingegen nicht von Linux erkannt... also du musst schon ein älteres Modell haben...

habe gehört, dass man eine original cd von sony benötigt um linux zu installieren!

ja, die haben dafür auch extra eine schwarze ps2 + festplatte + tastatur/maus angeboten.

Jo genau, ich habe mir das Set damals im jahre 2002 für über 300€ noch gekauft glaube ich... naja ich kam absolut nicht mit Linux klar, konnte es gerade noch installieren, das wars dann aber auch schon... Naja für Nähere Infos siehe hier:

Linux läßt sich auch per Soft- und Hardwarehack booten, ganz ohne offizielles Linux Kit:
