Was genau erhoffst du dir davon WhatsApp abzuschotten?

Microsoft goes Android

Kein Notch, keine abgeschnittenen Ecken ~yey~

90Hz OLED.

750€ - 1000€

Google quietly discontinues Daydream VR
Not only do the new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL not support Daydream VR, but Google also stopped selling the Daydream View headset. Google has no plans to support Daydream in future Android devices and they will not be certifying new devices.

New NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro pops up on Amazon with Dolby Vision and redesigned remote
The Amazon listing (now removed) gives us tons of details about the SHIELD TV Pro. This is the device that was codenamed “mdarcy.” Powered by the NVIDIA Tegra X1+ chip, it claims to be 25% faster than previous generations. This is the same chip found in the new Nintendo Switch.
Another new feature is Dolby Vision HDR, which is a step above HDR10.
Thankfully, the SHIELD TV Pro has a brand new redesigned remote. It features a chunkier design and more buttons. There is a microphone for voice controls, motion-activated backlit buttons, an IR blaster for controlling TVs, Bluetooth, and a lost remote feature. It has buttons for power, menu, play, record, pause, forward, reverse, volume, voice commands, and direction pad. The remote takes 2 AAA batteries.
The SHIELD TV Pro has 2 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Other specifications include 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and dual-band AC Wi-Fi. The device is SmartThings Hub-ready for your smart home as well. The Amazon page lists the price at $199 and it will be released on October 28th. We’re still waiting on another SHIELD TV codenamed “sif,” but what do you think about this new SHIELD TV?

Linux on DeX wird eingestellt :(.

https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-ends-linux-on-dex-beta-android-10-update/
Android 9 users on supported devices can still try Linux on DeX for now by downloading the APK from APKMirror and the system image from Samsung’s website.

No more exec from data folder on targetAPI >= Android Q

Bringing GeckoView and Firefox Preview up to par with the APIs that were supported previously in Firefox for Android won’t happen overnight. For the remainder of 2019 and leading into 2020, we are focusing on building support for a selection of content from our Recommended Extensions program that work well on mobile and cover a variety of utilities and features.

At the moment, Firefox Preview does not yet officially support extensions. While some members of the community have discovered that some extensions inadvertently work in Firefox Preview, we do not recommend attempting to install them until they are officially supported as other issues may arise. We expect to implement support for the initial selection of extensions in the first half of 2020, and will post updates here as we make progress.

Also chrome do not ship 64 bit builds right now but we are working on it to start shipping it in future sometime.
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=977583

i need to push an update on my browser based on chromium but cannot be done due to this bug... how is chrome still able to push updates without being 64-bit compliant?
~fuckthatshit~

:panik:
the problem is that options to control tap to search and suggestions are not visible, upstream moved them in a menu available only for the logged-in account.

Google Server.

Achtung: Im Gegensatz zu SMS/MMS gibt es für RCS keine Möglichkeit eines (Offline)Backups.

Skip the wait: Enable RCS right now in Google Messages for any carrier

Requirements:

Steps:

  1. Turn off WiFi.
  2. Open the Activity Launcher app.
  3. Tap the dropdown up top and switch from “recent activities” to “all activities.”
  4. Scroll down to find “Messages.”
  5. Tap on it and find the “Set RCS Flags” activity. Select it to open the hidden RCS configuration settings in Google Messages.
  6. Select the dropdown under “ACS Url” and select the ‘http://rcs-acs-prod-us.sandbox.google.com/’ option.
  7. Go home and clear Messages from your recent apps list. Open it back up and you should see a message at the bottom asking you to set up Chat. Accept it by tapping on “upgrade now.”
  8. After starting setup, re-enable WiFi and wait a few minutes. If successful, go to Settings > Chat features and it should say “Status: Connected” up top.
