Genre: NASCAR Rennspiel
Entwickler: DMi Games, Monster Games
Anzahl der Spieler: 40 (!) online
Plattformen: PS4, XB1, PC
Release: 13.9.2016 (USA)

Das neu formierte DMi Games hat die Nascarlizenz und die entsprechenden Assets von Eutechnyx übernommen und wird u.a. für die PS4 ein Nascarspiel bringen. 2016 soll es so weit sein.

January 17, 2015

Hello NASCAR fans! My name is Ed Martin and I am the President of DMi, Inc.

Who are you? What is DMi? What about Eutechnyx? Tell me what is going on! Well, all of that and more is what I hope to address with this first open letter to the community.

Who are you?
Some of you reading this might know me as I have been involved in NASCAR video games for many years. But let me introduce (or re-introduce) myself. I started in the early 1990’s at Papyrus – before the first NASCAR Racing PC game was ever released (PlayStation’s & Xbox’s didn’t exist back then). From there, I went on to Hasbro Interactive. Then EA Sports. Most recently, I have been managing the business side of Eutechnyx’ NASCAR games.

What (who) is DMi?
As of January 1, 2015, DMi became NASCAR’s exclusive licensee for video games and digital entertainment. It is a deal that had been in the works for several months. But it was something that could not be disclosed until everything was finalized. And by “everything”, I mean a very long and complex set of negotiations and agreements. Just to give you some context, a contemporary NASCAR video game has over 1,000 licensed and approved properties in it. That’s a lot of stakeholders and people to get organized!

DMi’s CEO is Tom Dusenberry. Tom was the founder & President of Hasbro Interactive – which is where we met several years ago. Tom has an incredible background in publishing and interactive entertainment. He is also a HUGE NASCAR fan!

DMi has a long-term license with NASCAR to develop & publish a wide range of games across pretty much any interactive entertainment platform you can imagine – including console, PC and mobile. Our focus is on quality games for NASCAR fans and a wide range of different types of games for all NASCAR fans. We are based in Charlotte, North Carolina - right in the heart of NASCAR-country.

We are already hard at work on several new games including an all-new NASCAR racing sim created by DMi for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC that we expect to release in 2016. Stay tuned for further information on that and other DMi games coming your way!

What about Eutechnyx?
Eutechnyx has been NASCAR’s licensee for video games since 2010. As part of our deal, DMi acquired certain NASCAR-related assets from Eutechnyx including core art assets such as tracks and cars. These provide DMi a starting place as we create our new games. We also acquired some existing NASCAR games – including NASCAR Manager, which we will be re-releasing soon.

Prior to the DMi transaction, Eutechnyx was working on a 2015 update to their NASCAR ’14 game (“NASCAR ’15”). It is not an all-new game but rather a season update to the existing game along with some fixes. That game will be released this Spring - online only – for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. But it will not be a DMi game; the first DMi sim game will be in 2016 as mentioned above. Stay tuned for more information on that as well.

Tell me what is going on!
Well, hopefully, I just did. At least an introductory part of it. I apologize that there wasn’t any notice or a lot of information released previously. It truly was a secret that had to be kept until all facets of the deals were complete – which all came together on New Years Eve. At that point, the NASCAR-related web sites that were online had to be closed as DMi took over the NASCAR license from Eutechnyx. Now that we are back to work after the holidays, we’re finally in a position to start releasing information about our new company.

We are thrilled to become part of the NASCAR gaming family. And we look forward to entertaining you with high-quality NASCAR games for many years to come!

What’s Next

As we enter 2016, we’ve got a lot of exciting projects in the works.

Our next console game is sure to be a hit. The developer working on the game has an outstanding history with the NASCAR franchise. That’s all I’ll say for now, but stayed tuned for more information coming mid-next year.

I can also confirm a new NASCAR mobile racing game will be starting development very soon for smartphones and tablets.

NASCAR Heat Evolution announced - Monster Games - PS4, XB1, PC - September 13
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – May 20, 2016 – Dusenberry Martin Racing (DMR), NASCAR’s exclusive console simulation-style video game licensee, today announced the future of NASCAR gaming with NASCAR Heat Evolution – launching September 13, 2016. Marking the debut of the NASCAR video game series on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, and also arriving on Windows PC, this new title will provide fans with a brand-new and authentic racing experience.

NASCAR Heat Evolution will immerse fans in the door-to-door excitement of stock car racing and allow users to live the experience of taking the checkered flag. Whether a casual or hardcore gaming fan, NASCAR Heat Evolution will dynamically adapt to any skill level and deliver a true-to-life racing experience. The new game will feature all of the top drivers, teams, and incredibly detailed tracks and environments, giving fans the opportunity to feel what it is like to be a racing legend.

“Our company is a team of highly skilled gaming vertans with a proven record of success in NASCAR game development and publishing. Our commitment to the NASCAR community is to consistently deliver fun, engaging and high-quality NASCAR games to the market,” said DMR Chief Executive Officer Tom Dusenberry.

DMR, whose licensing agreement with NASCAR Team Properties runs through 2020, partnered with Monster Games to create NASCAR Heat Evolution, bringing more than 100 years of combined NASCAR games experience to the project.

DMR President Ed Martin said, “To deliver an all-new NASCAR game experience, we assembled an all-star team of NASCAR game experts and started with a clean sheet of paper. What the DMR and Monster Games teams have come up with is going to amaze NASCAR fans.”

From the same legendary team that created the critically acclaimed NASCAR titles NASCAR Heat and NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona, Monster Games has a clear vision for NASCAR Heat Evolution.

“The Monster Games team is thrilled to partner again with Tom, Ed and the Dusenberry Martin Racing team. We have been working on NASCAR Heat Evolution for 18 months and are excited about what we have created. From day one, our goal has been to deliver a fun, engaging and realistic racing game designed for NASCAR fans,” said Monster Games President Richard Garcia.

“The gaming space allows fans to consume our sport on a daily basis, ultimately helping grow and diversify our audience,” said Blake Davidson, Vice President of Consumer Products and Licensing, NASCAR. “Our fans have eagerly anticipated the arrival of a new NASCAR game, and we expect that NASCAR Heat Evolution will be well worth the wait.”

DMR has also partnered with Toyota, an Official NASCAR Partner, in a unique video game cover athlete competition. The first Toyota driver to cross the finish line in the 2016 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be the cover athlete of NASCAR Heat Evolution. Choosing a cover athlete from an on-track competition is a first in video game history. NASCAR Heat Evolution will mark the first time Toyota or any of their eligible drivers – Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth and Martin Truex Jr. – will be the face of a NASCAR video game. Toyota and DMR are developing an innovative in-game branding partnership that will elevate the racing experience for video game fans.

Fans that are ready to strap in and feel the adrenaline of a NASCAR racing experience have the opportunity to pre-order NASCAR Heat Evolution now at NASCARHeat.com, GameStop, Target.com, Walmart.com and the PlayStation®Store. NASCAR Heat Evolution will take racing fans to a level of realism, excitement and authenticity that has never been seen on a console before.

NASCAR Heat Evolution will be available on September 13, 2016 in North America for the PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One and Windows PC. More information can be found at NASCARHeat.com, with additional details to be released in the coming months. Fans can also follow NASCAR Heat Evolution on Twitter via @DMRNASCARHeat and @DMRacingGames.

DLC Plan:

http://nascarheat.com/2016/09/01/nascar-heat-evolution-dlc-details/
NASCAR Heat Evolution is excited to announce three different types of DLC; Paint Scheme Packs, Spotter Voices, and Challenge Packs. We’ll be releasing a different mix of paid and free DLC monthly through the end of the year. The first content will be available September 13, 2016. We’ll go into more detail about the Paint Scheme Packs below, but let’s take a closer look at Spotter Audio and Challenge Packs.

  • Spotter Audio: NASCAR Heat Evolution will ship with Bobby Labonte as the Spotter Audio, but players will have the option to download different spotter voices to make their races unique. We plan to release a variety of Spotter Audio ranging from real life spotters to drivers, announcers, and more. On launch day, NBC on NASCAR announcer Rick Allen’s Spotter Audio will be available for $0.99.
  • Challenge Packs: In addition to the 23 Challenges shipping with NASCAR Heat Evolution, new Challenge Packs will be available every month so players can keep pursuing greatness. On September 13, Challenge Pack 1 will be available for $0.99 with 4 new Challenges.

Paint Schemes
Every month we’ll be releasing at least one paint scheme pack for players to diversify their game. One of the coolest features in NASCAR Heat Evolution are the track specific paint schemes. For example, if you purchase Darlington Throwback Paint Scheme Pack 1, the AI cars at Darlington will use the Darlington paint schemes. It takes authenticity to a whole new level.
Worth noting, if all of the art assets are not delivered from the race teams and sponsors in time, certain paint schemes packs will be released in two parts. The Darlington schemes and the Chase schemes are both examples of this. We make the paint schemes as soon as we receive them. We didn’t have enough time to create the schemes for drivers who just revealed their Darlington paint schemes like Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher. You can expect a Darlington Throwback Paint Scheme Pack 2 and a Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Paint Scheme Pack 2 at a later date. The following Paint Scheme Packs will be available on launch day:

  • Darlington Throwback Paint Scheme Pack 1: Joey Logano, Ryan Newman, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Aric Almirola, Kurt Busch, Chase Elliott, Jimmie Johnson, Trevor Bayne, Austin Dillon, Casey Mears, Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, David Ragan, and Matt DiBenedetto. (Price: $9.99)

  • Paint Scheme Pack 1: Chase Elliott – 3M, Kasey Kahne – Panasonic, Kasey Kahne – Mountain Dew, Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Tax Slayer, Greg Biffle – KFC, Tony Stewart – Code/Mobil 1, Ricky Stenhouse Jr – Ford EcoBoost, Landon Cassill – Snap Fitness, Jimmie Johnson – Kobalt, and Chris Buescher – CSX. (Price: $4.99)

  • Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Paint Scheme Pack 1: Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Martin Truex Jr, Denny Hamlin, and Tony Stewart. (Price: $4.99)

Pit Pass Bundles
Since this is our first game release, we were unable to have a Season Pass to cover all of the DLC we’ll be releasing in 2016. Instead, we’ll be offering 4 separate Pit Pass Bundles through 2016. Each Pit Pass Bundle will include a bundle of DLC at a discounted price. Below are the details for Pit Pass Bundle 1 available September 13, 2016:

  • Pit Pass Bundle 1: Pit Pass Bundle 1 will include Darlington Throwback Paint Scheme Pack 1, Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Paint Scheme Pack 1, Paint Scheme Pack 1, Rick Allen Spotter Audio, and Challenge Pack 1. (Price: TBD)

Toyota Partnership
Through our partnership with Toyota, fans will receive a free Toyota Challenge Pack and a free Toyota Paint Scheme Pack each month. Below are details for the free Toyota DLC available on September 13:

  • Toyota Challenge Pack 1: 4 new challenges from Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Denny Hamlin take you to Kentucky, Sonoma, Daytona, and Indianapolis. (Price: Free)

  • Toyota Paint Scheme Pack 1: Paint schemes include Kyle Busch – Skittles, Carl Edwards – Subway, Carl Edwards – Stanley, Denny Hamlin – FedEx Ground, Matt Kenseth – Dewalt, Martin Truex Jr. – Furniture Row, Matt DiBenedetto – EJ Wade, Matt DiBenedetto – Dustless Blasting, and David Ragan – Shriner’s Hospital. (Price: Free)

Pre-Order DLC
NASCAR Heat Evolution is excited to partner with our retail partners and offer pre-order bonus DLC. All pre-order DLC will be available to all players at a later date. Below are the details of the current pre-order bonuses:

  • GameStop: Players who pre-order through GameStop have exclusive access to Erik Jones paint schemes. Included paint schemes are NASCAR Heat Evolution, GameStop Turtle Beach, and GameStop Think Geek.

  • Best Buy: Players who pre-order from Best Buy will have access to the Sprint All-Star Paint Scheme Pack. Included paint schemes are Kasey Kahne – Drive Home A Winner, Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Mountain Dew, and Carl Edwards – Arris Surfboard, the winning paint scheme that landed Carl on the cover of NASCAR Heat Evolution.

Shew! There you have it. As you can see, NASCAR Heat Evolution is only the beginning. We look forward to giving players a ton of great content through the end of the year. We’ll see you on the track!

NASCAR Heat 2 Coming to PS4, XB1 and PC This Fall

The sequel to last year’s NASCAR Heat Evolution has officially been announced by 704Games. Arriving September 12, NASCAR Heat 2 promises to build upon the previous game’s foundation, along with bringing in new features.

Monster Games will be developing the new game. The team plans on making improvements like better online multiplayer, a more in-depth career mode, and track and driver updates. Additional features that “take NASCAR games back to their roots” are also on the list, but what they are exactly is unknown at the moment.

704Games CEO Paul Brooks stated in the press release, “this new game will have a very different look and an enhanced overall experience that reflects the insights of actual NASCAR drivers,” and that fans should look forward to new and exciting features in the coming months.

Just like last year, 704Games will be working with Toyota again. What’s new this year is that fans are given the option of voting for two Toyota drivers to head to Stage 2 at the Monster Energy All-Star Race. The first of the two to cross the line will appear on NASCAR Heat 2’s cover. Voters will also be entered in a contest to win a custom-wrapped Xbox One S with a copy of the game.

NASCAR Heat 2 will be coming out on September 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in North America. We look forward to seeing what the men and women at Monster Games have up their sleeves.

Alles wird Unreal Engine :panik:
Motorsport Games has confirmed a new NASCAR game will be ready for 2021, and it will not be a continuation of the Heat series.

NASCAR 21 will represent a fresh start for NASCAR simulations from Motorsport Games and will be powered by Unreal Engine and Studio 397’s acclaimed rFactor 2 physics. Motorsport Games acquired Studio 397 and rFactor 2 in March this year. 2020’s NASCAR Heat 5 was built using Unity.
