Schau mal hier http://ask.xmodulo.com/boot-into-command-line-ubuntu-debian.html im Abschnitt "Boot into Command-line Temporarily on Older Desktop" wie du temporär ohne GUI booten kannst.

Sollte mit deinem Ubuntu noch gehen, bei neueren Systemen mit dem umstrittenen systemd geht es nicht mehr ~awman~

Ne. Ich weiß echt nicht was ich machen kann. Im Netz finde ich auch keine Hilfe. Es kommt einfach kein Signal und der Bildschirm bleibt schwarz. Gibt's denn irgendeine Tastenkombination mit der sich irgendwas zurücksetzen lässt? :(

Aus welchen Gründen auch immer, der PC sendet mit mal wieder ein Signal und ich habe ein Bild. Sogar Vollbild. Nur gibt es momentan perfomance Probleme, die Kiste ist langsam und wenn ich den Browser öffne oder schließe, geschieht das per DIA-Show.

Besonders ärgerlich. YouTube Videos laufen nicht mehr ruckelfrei in 1080p, wenn ich die runterlade schon.

Dazu sage ich, das ich momentan NICHT den empfohlenen Treiber nutze, sondern eine angebotene Alternative. Unter dem empfohlenen Treiber läuft es noch schlimmer.

schon heftig das ein video fast alle Kerne auslastet.

Mach mal ein Backup und installiere den offiziellen AMD Treiber, sofern er nicht die empfohlene Alternative ist.

EDIT: ist flash installiert? Eventuell deinstallieren und HTML5 nutzen lassen

Flash habe ich gerade deinstalliert, war aber eigentlich auch nur für Firefox (den Browser habe ich vor Chrome genutzt) installiert. Unter chrome sehe ich unter den Erweiterungen nichts mit flash.

Und Grafiktreiber finde ich ehrlich gesagt gar keine. :/

Aktuell nutze ich einen Treiber von fglrx-updates.

fglrx ist doch der Binärtreiber von AMD, du verlinkst ja auch auf die AMD Seite ;)

Welcher besser mit deiner GPU geht - keine Ahnung.


Grundsätzlich sind Hersteller-Binärtreiber unter Linux immer problematischer zu installieren weil Linuxpolitik....


Daher würde ich es erstmal mit einem OpenSource-Treiber probieren.

Für genau die Fälle einer reinstallation empfiehlt es sich /home auf einer anderen partition zu haben. Dann installiert du das system neu, behälst aber deine persönlichen Daten. Habe ich auch schmerzhaft gelernt
